Every package shipped leaves a large ecological footprint. Therefore, we want to make our shipping more ecological and sustainable to keep this footprint as small as possible. To do this, we are switching our shipping to recycled and recyclable shipping materials.
Below we present our customizations.
We replace plastic delivery note bags with an alternative made of 100% paper. In terms of appearance and function, the delivery note pockets made of paper are in no way inferior to the conventional variant – and are also 100% recyclable and a simple way to reduce plastic. This means that the delivery note pockets can also be thrown away and recycled together with the shipping carton, so that the time-consuming removal for separate disposal is no longer necessary.
To protect the products, we have chosen Schrenz paper filling material. We get the paper as continuous paper, which is folded into a special star-shaped paper strand with the help of a machine and thus optimally protects the products. Because schrenz paper is made from waste paper, no additional resources from nature are needed for this.
As a substitute for normal adhesive tape made of PP (polypropylene), we use adhesive tape made of paper. Thus, we also use renewable and recyclable raw materials here and avoid plastic.
In addition to our customizations, we place a great amount of emphasis on reusing shipping cartons and filling material as often as possible. We also make sure that we optimally adapt the carton size to the size of the product to be shipped so that we do not have to use an unnecessary amount of filling material. This also conserves resources.
